I am a physicist specializing in atmospheric physics and remote sensing. My research focuses on understanding the impacts of human activities on the Amazon forest. I have delved into the study of forest fire dynamics in the southern Amazon region. Utilizing advanced remote sensing techniques, I have concentrated my efforts on analyzing the physical aspects of these fires, including fire temperature and the spatial distribution of greenhouse gas and aerosol emissions. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of the complex interactions between climate, vegetation, and human activities in the Amazon.
